Our story
Why Cross Code exists
Organisations of every size run into the same kind of problem: the way they work has outgrown the tools they use. Information lives in spreadsheets and inboxes, the same details are captured three times, and nobody quite trusts the reports.
Cross Code was started to solve those problems properly, with software that fits how people actually work, built by someone who takes the time to understand the operation behind it.
Our first products are for churches and ministries, starting with Cross Events, because that's where we've seen how much time good tools can give back. But Cross Code is a technology business first: we're growing into custom business applications, consulting, systems integration and infrastructure for organisations and businesses of all kinds.
The name
The cross, between the brackets of code
Look closely at our logo: the cross sits at the centre, held between the angle brackets used to write code. It's a picture of the business.
Where Faith Meets Innovation isn't a slogan we added later. Faith is the foundation of Cross Code: it shapes how we treat clients, the commitments we make and the care we put into our work. Innovation is how we serve: modern, well-built technology that solves real problems.
Founder
Joshua Oosthuizen
Cross Code is run by Joshua Oosthuizen, a software developer and Senior Solutions Consultant. His experience spans software development, database management and SQL Server, business solutions, server infrastructure and technical consulting.
Much of that work has been with businesses: understanding their operational challenges, then designing and building the technical solutions that solve them. When you work with Cross Code, you work with him directly.
